Locksmith's tips for Door hinges

Always measure hinges by height and width with the hinge in the open flat position.

If you use hinges with washers or bearings round the pin you will find them less likely to wear which is why most doors drop and rub against the frame.

When fitting new hinges always drill a pilot hole for the screws and try putting one screw in each side first to make sure all lines up then fit the rest.
