Locksmith's tips for Cabinet hardware

When fitting handles to new doors, make sure they are all at the right height and opposite the hinges!

If you stick a strip of masking tape roughly where the handle is to go, use a pencil to mark the height and the distance in from the edge, then drill where the lines cross the tape will stop the drill from slipping and when you peel off the tape there won’t be any marks left on the door – simple but very effective and you will use this trick again and again.

Before starting to drill, think and make sure it’s right – my old dad always said “measure twice drill once” he was right it could be an expensive mistake!
